Laza Zoltan, Technical Director, tells us about the company’s beginnings and the machinery they use to deliver furniture pieces on time.
How did you start? And a few words about your journey.
The company was founded in 2004. We identified a market niche—bathroom furniture. There was demand, but no supply. That’s how we started from scratch, inexperienced, and little by little, we got to where we are today. In a way, we are two businesses in one. There’s the mass-produced bathroom furniture side, where we have moved beyond the economic approach and focused on the Mid, Mid-Plus, and Premium niche. Then there’s the second part, what I’d call business number two, which is slowly becoming number one in terms of revenue—custom-made furniture.
How do the new machines help in the manufacturing process?
With the acquisition of new equipment, manual labor has been significantly reduced. When it comes to cutting, I’d say the physical effort has been halved, shifting the focus more towards intellectual work. Having the Biesse panel saw for cutting in packs and the Vitap drilling center is truly fantastic.
It has essentially replaced four machines, consolidating four separate operations into one, making the process more efficient.
If we talk specifically about the drilling machine, the Vitap Galileo drilling center has increased productivity by three, four, even five times, depending on the number of pieces. For cutting, the output has doubled, but the main advantage isn’t just the increased production capacity. The biggest benefit is the improved cutting precision. The pieces align perfectly with each other, reducing the need for highly specialized manual labor as before.
Tell us a bit about your partnership with Accesoria
Accesoria is the team I call when I want something to happen. I know what I want to achieve, and they know exactly which machine I need. We’re not looking for overnight growth. We want to move forward on both fronts because, with modernization, we are somewhat morally obligated to continue mass production. On the other hand, when it comes to services, it’s clear—you have to improve quality, always bring something extra, or you simply won’t stay relevant.
